Dominion Swims At State

The Dominion Christian High School swim team finished their season this past Saturday at the GISA state meet in Gainesville, Georgia. The boys state powerhouse, Riverside Military, hosted the event in the pool on their own campus. The Dominion boys finished 5th place this weekend, the girls came in 12th place. Riverside defended their state championship easily beating 2nd place Mt. De Sales. The boys relay beat the Riverside Eagles 2nd relay team for the first time this season. Max Foster beat his time of 25 seconds for the 50 free getting 24 seconds. Ben Black beat his time of 30 seconds with 29 seconds. Suzanne Johnson got finished 7th in the 50 butterfly. 17 different teams from around the state competed in these events. The talent of this year's swimmers came through when both the state record for the boys medely relay and the girls medly relay were improved. DCHS stayed in cabins near Lake Lanier and ate at Chicagos after the meet. DCHS boys also continued their tradition of shaving their heads and legs this year. Swimmer Sam Kuehl outdid them all shaving his head bald while the others shaved thier legs.
