HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
Sophomore
Matthew returned to his spot at 1 doubles with partner Stephen Van Gorp. They won the region tournament and continued on to the state tournament as the number one seed, but were defeated in the first round. He was named to the all-region team.
Freshman
Matthew started at 1 doubles with fellow freshman Stephen Van Gorp. The duo quickly earned a reputation as a force to be reckoned with. A huge victory came against Reed Crosson and Will Hatcher of Fellowship Christian School. Matthew and Stephen finished 3rd in the region and continued on to states, but were defeated in the first round.
