Dominion competes against George Walton

Yesterday, Dominion Christian traveled to George Walton and played a good set of matches. The boys team had a 2-3 overall loss, with wins from the newly formed doubles team of Stephen Van Gorp and Zach Taylor (11-9) and returning singles player Austin Gentry (10-4). The girls team also had a close loss of 2-3 with wins from the singles players of Heather Graham (10-6) and Sarah Stowell (10-7). The girls doubles teams played well with Ali Jackson and Amanda Raftis taking a close loss of 9-11 to Abbey Ellison and Jennifer Torsiglien. The JV boys team gained some experience in their matches, but all came out with losses to the older George Walton teams. The doubles team of Rae Coleman and Raven Pugh played hard to give Dominion a win of 10-5. Although both the girls and boys teams suffered losses at George Walton, the new players gained experience which will help them in the rest of their season.
