Dominion tennis team crushes Weber
by Sonya Leckman

Thursday March 13th, Dominion's tennis team played Weber here at home. The boys singles had some intense moments as Austin Gentry and David Synman were 10-10 and played for the final tie breaker. It was a tough match for both of the boys, and a victory for Dominion as Austin prevailed in the last moments and brought the score to 11-10, his favor. Next up was a match between the Micheals, Michael Besch and Michael Gray. Gray was no match for Dominion's powerhouse Micheal Besch who took a nice win with a final score of 10-1. The DCHS girls singles matches took a similar route. Sarah Stowell played Ari Axler with a challenging win of 10-8. Charley Clyburn brought Dominon singles a clean win of 10-2.

The doubles teams of DCHS also played strong yesterday with wins from every team. The boys team of Matt Keyt and Matt Jackson played strong as usual, and came through with an incredible win of 10-0. The second boys doubles team won by a Weber forfeit. The girls doubles of Katie Hammond and Abby Rives stayed strong to win 10-0. Ali Jackson and Amanda Raftis also stayed consistent with the other DCHS doubles teams and won 10-0. Both teams won with a final score of 4-1. This was a well-earned win for the Dominion tennis teams and we hope to see the success continue as the season does.
