 |
State Tournament The Lady Knights headed to the state tournament in Augusta on thursday night. Friday at 2:30, they went face to face against Pinecrest. The girls really wanted to beat them so that they could advance to the elite eight. Coach Gold gave the girls a very inspiring devotion with one of his acrostics. As soon as the girls stepped on the gym floor, they knew that they came with their A game. The Lady Knights never beat Pinecrest, the state runner up from last year, before. They won in three games, decreasing the amount of points Pinecrest got every time. After beating Pinecrest, the knights had to play Augusta Prep who were the defending state champions. Unfortunately, the girls did not come out victorious. The team says that the season was great and they are looking foward to next year. |
