FPD Invitational meet write-up

This weekend, Dominion’s varsity Boy’s cross country team traveled to the annual Viking Invitational hosted by the Georgia Children’s Home.The varsity boys’ team defeated all competition including First Presbyterian Day School (FPD) placing first with 47 points.  Although being the first race of the season, this victory was well earned considering that FPD has dominated this meet for four years in a row.  The two most notable runners for Dominion’s varsity team were Nathan Bennett (4th) and Zak Metz (88th).

On the girl’s varsity, the Lady Knights XC held their own, placing 8th overall in the meet.  The girls did fairly considering this only the first race of the season. The boy’s and girl’s JV teams also ran well though they did not place any scoring positions.  Stay tuned with the cross country team as they run their second race in Spartanburg, S.C. on September 8.
